Flooded roads are dangerous, learn what to avoid and what circumstances you are able to cross. If news arrises that flooding is on the way move your vehicle to higher grounds. Water can cause major issues with the electrics in your vehicle. If there is Heavy rain be sure to turn your headlights on, Use fog lights, leave twice as much space between you and the vehicle in front of you, if you stat to aquaplane- ease off the accelerator and slow down. Try to avoid standing water but, if you find yourself near standing water make sure to not drive through water that is more than 4 inches deep. Drive slowly, and be sure to stay in your vehicle and ask for help rather than getting out.

• Urban flood water can carry dangerous bacteria from drains and sewers that could cause disease.
• Rural flood water is more likely to be contaminated by agricultural chemicals and animal waste.
